No, our fabrics are not designed to be painted. There are specialty fabrics and acoustically transparent specialty paints available on the market today.  Due to the high cost compared to fabric-wrapped panels, and in our opinion, limited benefit, we do not offer these products.

Guilford of Maine FR701:

• Produced by Guilford of Maine
• The Go To Fabric of designers
• 100% post-consumer recycled polyester
• Class 1 or A per ASTM E84 fire rated

Fabric-wrapped acoustic ceiling clouds and baffles are designed to suspend from the ceiling using suspension wires. Ceiling clouds are installed horizontally and are wrapped on the front-facing side. Acoustic baffles install vertically and are wrapped on all sides of the panel. Both clouds and baffles include hardware that attaches to the acoustic panel.

We offer suspension wires which are sold separately. Hardware that attaches to the ceiling is not included.

Fabric-wrapped acoustic panels mounted directly to the ceiling are flush to the ceiling surface with no air gap. For this installation, we recommend Rotofast Snap-on Anchors which includes everything needed for a standard drywall installation.

When it comes to determining the right amount of acoustic treatment, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. For example, a conference room with 10 people, a restaurant with 100 guests and exposed ductwork, or a music studio all require different acoustic treatment strategies.

The ideal number of acoustic panels and/or ceiling clouds depends on several factors unique to your space. These include:

• Room dimensions (length, width, ceiling height)
• Available wall and ceiling space
• Flooring materials (carpet, hardwood, concrete, etc.)
• Wall and ceiling construction materials (brick, drywall, exposed, drop-ceiling, etc.)
• Furnishings
• Intended use of the space
• Number of people who typically occupy the space

There are some benefits to purchasing smaller-sized panels and clouds (products with a length and width of 48″ x 24″ and smaller):

• Smaller panels / clouds weigh less and are easier to hang and install.
• Smaller panels / clouds can also be delivered via UPS Ground and expedited options to your door.
• Larger panels / clouds are more expensive to ship and must be delivered via freight companies who only unload on the street.
• Larger panels can reduce installation time and in some cases have a reduced cost per sq. ft., so the optimal decision varies based on all of these factors.

Prior to placing your order, you must submit a valid state-specific tax exemption certificate for review. To do so, follow these steps below.

1. Create an account. Click My Account in the upper-right corner of the website
2. Select Tax Exemption. After your account is created, click Tax Exemption.
3. Upload your certificate. Select your exemption tyle and upload your valid state-specific tax exemption certificate.

Once your certificate is reviewed and approved, sales tax will automatically be removed at checkout.

Our fabric-wrapped panels / clouds are wrapped in acoustically transparent fabric (on the front-facing side) and are shipped as a finished product. We generally do not recommend cutting, as that would require re-wrapping the panel / cloud.

Our fabric-wrapped acoustic panels, clouds and bass traps are cleanable with standard household cleansers.
