- Installation: Our panels are easily installed using our mounting options listed above. We recommend installing panels a minimum of a 3 inches away from each other, or from walls, or molding. Panels should be kept a minimum of 12” away from ductwork and lighting, so as not to interfere with airflow or light dispursement. This panel separation allows the sides of the panel to also absorb sound, which maximizes each panel’s effectiveness and improves the aesthetics of the treatment. Placing panels closer together than 3″ creates a crowded look and a less appealing “seam.”

No, this product is not designed to block or prevent the transfer of sound from one space to another. This is a sound-absorbing product, and it is designed to effectively reduce echo, reverberation and ambient noise. By addressing these issues, these products can dramatically improve sound quality and speech intelligibility in a space.
To address sound-transfer issues from adjacent rooms or spaces, sound-blocking products are required. For some further explanation on the differences between these two concepts, click here for our video on sound blocking.
Please note that quality sound blocking products for walls requires adding layers of drywall, mass loaded vinyl, and green glue. While not overly complicated, these projects do require skills in drywall construction, and the ability to closely follow design instructions for creating a sound proof wall.
Yes! We can custom cut any size acoustic panel, ceiling cloud or bass trap to your desired dimensions. Here’s how:
- Select the STANDARD panel, cloud or bass trap that is large enough for your needed custom cuts at our website.
- Under the “Custom Options” section on the product page, answer “Yes” as to whether you require a custom size.
- Select the desired custom length and width, using the sliders that appear. If you do not see the dimension(s) you need on the slider, please double check your selected starting panel size.

We offer our panels, clouds and panel kits in 1 and 2 inch thicknesses.
- A 1 inch thickness is ideal for residential spaces with a maximum of 5-10 people.
- A 2 inch thickness is suited to commercial spaces such as restaurants and offices, with a maximum of 20-50 people. A 2 Inch thickness is also ideal for maximum absorption per square foot of space.
For our acoustic panels, we offer two mounting methods: Impaling clips are the industry standard for wall-mounting panels and are included with your order.
We also offer an alternative Rotofast mounting option for an additional fee.
Rotofast offers numerous advantages over impaling clips, such as:
- Rotofast is suitable for both wall and ceiling flush-mount applications. Impaling clips are suitable for wall mount applications only.
- No glue is required for installation. Less mess and cleanup.
- Easy panel removal. Rotofast Snap-On anchors can be pried away from the wall using a long thin prybar to get near the attachment point.
- Very easy to use standoff blocks to further improve the product’s acoustic performance.
We include mounting hardware (impaling clips) with all acoustic panel purchases. For impaling clip installation, adhesive is required as explained in our installation instructions and is available separately.
Our acoustic panel kits ship with angled impaling clips. Adhesive is not required for this mounting option.
Hardware for attaching impaling clips to your wall is not included. Drywall anchors and screws (or other hardware as appropriate) to mount the impaling clip to the wall are to be sourced from a local hardware store based on your particular wall type and situation. Please note that impaling clips are for use on wall surfaces only and are not to be used for ceiling direct-mount applications or for any surface that is beyond perpendicular to the floor.

- Our frameless panels are lighter weight, which makes our panels easier to handle, ship and install.
- Our frameless panels absorb sound on the edges too, giving more absorption area per panel. Wooden framed panels do not.
- Our panels are eco-friendly. No trees are consumed in the production of our panels.
- Our denser fiberglass core offers the ultimate amount of sound absorption per inch.
- Our panels, when mounted with “stand-off”, furring strip, or suspended method, provide additional absorption from the back side of the panel. Wood backed panels do not.
Yes, it is! Our high density (6 PCF) Johns Manville Acoustic Fiberglass board provides superior sound absorption when compared to other materials. For our 1″ and 2″ thick panels, the performance of our fiberglass is better than same thickness of foam, Mineral wool, or Owens Corning 703. Also, our core material is quite rigid, so a wooden frame is not required.
Our panels and clouds have fabric on the front of the panel only. If you are looking for a panel with fabric on both sides for desktop or floor standing applications, you might consider gluing two panels together. We do not recommend hanging or suspending panels that you have glued together.

This was a custom panel I had them make at 40″x20″. I needed it to be a perfect 1/2 circle with those dimension but the cost ended up being too high, the timeline too long, and I needed it to be double sided (wrapped on both sides), so I bought the rectangle and made it a 1/2 circle myself. I built a custom rig using aluminum L bracket, screwing in block of aluminum to that L, threading the end of the block so I could attach a razor blade (that I had drilled a hole through, which is SUPER difficult tbh), and then mounting the assembled swing arm to my blocks using a bolt through the middle and needle bearings (to allow it to rotate), I cut my half circle. I build the back up with cardboard over my table to ensure I could cut through the foam cleanly without bottoming out the blade. I then used some extra black 700 fabric I had left over from another theater build to wrap the panel using 3M 90 spray adhesive. I needed it to be double sided so I cut a slit down the middle of the foam and used a plastic blade (old credit card) to work the fabric from the top/center down towards either side, pulling the fabric tight as I went to create an “invisible” seam down the middle (where it would be up against the window casing).
Was easy to select a color from the samples sent to me.
Just what we needed and good quality. The colors are vibrant and the sound is already improved (we only have a few of our ~20 panels up)
I wish the fabric went all they way around. We have 4 of the 2×4 that we need to find matching fabric for as those go against a glass wall.
