Can I paint your panels?

No. Our acoustic panels are wrapped in acoustically transparent fabrics that are not designed to be painted.

Acoustically transparent fabric allows sound to pass through and into the acoustic core, where the sound energy is absorbed. Painting the fabric can create a barrier and interfere with the panel’s ability to absorb sound. As a result, more sound can reflect back into the room rather than being absorbed.

Rather than painting an acoustic panel, we recommend selecting from our wide range of in-stock and special-order acoustically transparent fabric options, including Classic 700 Series, Acoustics America and Guilford of Maine fabrics.

At Acoustics America, our focus is on delivering solutions that fulfill our mission of minimizing noise and maximizing value.
