These sound absorbing panels give you the freedom to control noise according to your design and aesthetic needs. Once you mount these panels on your walls, you can listen clearly to the sounds that matter.
For larger or more heavily populated spaces, consider purchasing multiple kits or adding supplemental panels and clouds to your order.

- Our 1″ kit contains (5) 47.5″ x 12″ x 1″ panels.
- 1″ inch panels are an ideal acoustic treatment for residential spaces and light commercial applications.
- Our 2″ kit contains (3) 47.5″ x 12″ x 2″ panels.
- 2″ thick acoustic panels are optimal for heavy commercial spaces such as large gathering areas, music venues, restaurants and open office perimeters.
- Our 1″ kit contains (5) 47.5″ x 12″ x 1″ panels.

Yes. All acoustic panels include standard impaling clips free of charge. Adhesive is required (sold separately) and installation is explained in our installation instructions.
Drywall anchors and screws (or other hardware appropriate for your wall surface) are also needed to mount your standard impaling clips (available from any hardware store). IMPORTANT: Standard and angled impaling clips are for wall mounting only and are not to be used for ceiling direct-mount applications or for any surface that is beyond perpendicular to the floor.
Our acoustic panel kits ship with angled impaling clips. Adhesive is not required for this wall mount option.
Optional Hardware:Â Rotofast Snap-on anchors are available as an alternative installation option at product selection. They do not require adhesive. If you choose Rotofast Snap-on anchors at product selection, standard impaling clips will not be included with your order.
Yes, it is! Our high density (6 PCF) Acoustic Fiberglass board provides superior sound absorption when compared to other materials. For our 1″ and 2″ thick panels, the performance of our fiberglass is better than same thickness of foam, Mineral wool, or Owens Corning 703. Also, our core material is quite rigid, so a wooden frame is not required.
No. Acoustics America acoustic panels and ceiling clouds are manufactured using a frameless design. We intentionally design our acoustic products without a wood frame because frameless delivers better performance.
Additional benefits of our frameless acoustic panels and clouds include:
- Lighter weight: Frameless acoustic panels are easier to ship, handle, and install than wood‑framed alternatives.
- Improved sound absorption: Our panels absorb sound on the edges too, giving more absorption area per panel. Wooden framed panels do not.
- Eco‑friendly: No trees are used in manufacturing, making our panels a more sustainable acoustic treatment.
- High‑density fiberglass core: Our denser fiberglass core offers the ultimate amount of sound absorption per inch.
- Additional absorption: Unlike wood-backed panels, when installed using stand‑off mounts, furring strips, or suspended methods, our frameless acoustic panels absorb sound from both the front and back.
Our products are safe and effective and have been tested by an independent lab. All our panels and clouds carry a Class A fire rating which is the highest rating possible under the ASTM E84, a test used by code officials and regulatory agencies in the acceptance of interior finish materials.
