- This is not recommended because the separation allows the sides of the panel to also absorb sound, which maximizes each panel’s effectiveness and improves the aesthetics of the treatment. Placing panels closer together than 3” creates a crowded look and a less appealing “seam.”
- Also, rarely does a given wall require that much treatment to achieve the desired affect. Why spend more money on panels that are not needed? When properly spaced, fewer panels will do the job.
